How to Ensure Success in Your Career as a Plumber?

Good plumbers can earn in excess of a hundred thousand pounds a year and for this reason alone this is a well sought after job. Plumber jobs can be in the installation or repairing of fixtures and fittings related to the gas or water supply and the drainage system of buildings. Once you are a certified and registered level 2 and 3 NVQ you can work as a freelancer or apply for a position with plumbing companies or with another contractor. You will never run short of plumber jobs.

There are different types of plumbing courses such as a college based course or a fast tracked course that is run by a private company. Plumber training can be achieved with hands on experience with a plumbing company either while undergoing the plumbing course or after. There are several plumbing courses run by private companies. If you take up one of these you will be able to train and complete the course within weeks. However, the traditional route through a college will take two years of formal course and a year’s apprenticeship. Further, while private training companies generally do not require a formal qualification, a college course will usually need a grade A* -C GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English and Science.
