Then you have to work towards the kind of job that appeals to you by undergoing the proper plumber training or apprenticeship and gain experience in that sub-branch of plumbing.
Plumber training is of two types, the formal and the private. In the formal method you need to do an evening course for two years in a college and earn level 2 and 3 NVQ Alternately, you could train with a private company and you could choose from among several training courses that are available.
Plumbing is not only about unblocking blocked drains. As a self employed plumber, you will have smaller plumber jobs but these would come more frequently. In employed plumber jobs you will work in a specialised area generally. You could also be employed in the public sector or as a heating engineer or in the commercial sector.
